In spring 2003 I started with an empty Artfront /Hillside gallery in Tokyo/Daikanyama area. In two weeks I filled it up with digital photo’s I made during day and night in Tokyo. I visited famous spots, but also looked behind walls of private houses and shops. All works were selected and printed right after the making, each day the exhibition grew larger till the finissage 2 weeks later when the project ended. When I started my project the gallery was filled with blocks of empty white sheets of paper size A3 and A4, every day I changed some white sheets for just made photo’s, until there were about 150 prints at the end. Many people showed up more than once to see the progression of the show day by day. Also some ‘subjects’ came by to see their own pictures, i.c. photo’s they were on/situations they were familiar with.
