Closed Eyes portraits 2000-now
Black and white photo’s made with available light, subjects are friends, clients, artists and other people I met.
I ask them to close their eyes and sit on the spot, making natural but strange eyeless portraits. By coincidence I found out that a face with eyes closed on a photograph, normally a misfit, really could look interesting. I decided to make a series about it. Al kinds of people posed for me since 2000 and I wil continue till I’ve got some 100 good portraits.
